Pacaya Lodge & Spa
Pacaya Lodge & Spa is a luxury boutique resort located at the top of the Laguna de Apoyo Natural Reserve in Nicaragua. More than a tourist destination, we are a project with a social purpose, designed to offer an authentic and transformative experience for both our guests and the local community.
Founded in collaboration with Opportunity International Nicaragua and developer David Allman, Pacaya Lodge & Spa was born with the vision of combining sustainable tourism with community development. Since our opening in 2016, we have allocated a percentage of our revenues to Instituto Técnico Emprendedora, a nearby high school that provides training in agriculture and hospitality to more than 300 rural youth. In addition, we provide internship and employment opportunities to outstanding students, integrating education with professional practice.
At Pacaya Lodge & Spa, every visit contributes to the sustainable development of Nicaragua, offering travelers an unforgettable experience that goes beyond conventional tourism.

Located approximately halfway between the cities of Granada and Masaya, Pacaya Lodge & Spa is in the heart of Nicaragua’s picturesque white villages, known for their authentic, quality arts and crafts. Pacaya is a perfect starting point for exploring neighboring market towns, hiking nearby volcanoes, spending the day at the beach or enjoying an evening in Granada.
Come relax in the hammock on your private balcony. Float in the infinity pool overlooking the crater lake. Enjoy an exclusive spa treatment or hike the trails through the reserve to the sound of howler monkeys and exotic birds. Enjoy an open-air dinner with ingredients sourced from local suppliers and our own organic garden. Descend to the lake to sunbathe, swim and paddle in the clear thermal waters of Laguna de Apoyo.

Available Rooms Pacaya Lodge and Spa is a Nicaragua ecolodge that welcomes groups!
As an ecolodge in Nicaragua, we are the ideal venue for your next meeting, conference, wedding or other social event. Our event space features a large conference room that can be divided to accommodate two simultaneous events. We can accommodate a total of 50 guests. We offer full audio-visual services and technical support. Our catering services range from hors d’oeuvres and cocktails to five-course gourmet dinners. We also offer special rates for overnight guests.
